Scope
For this design I explored form giving in terms of mass, proportion, rhythm, gesture, and detail. I chose a manufactured object (wall hook) and a natural object (green bell pepper).
Process
I created a series of drawings of the manufactured object, and with each drawing, the object was morphed into a more organic form. Finally, a characteristic of the natural object was infused with the morphed form to create a single, coherent form. The characteristic I chose was the smooth rounded contours of a green bell pepper.
