Scope
Design a biomimetic swimming device. The design's purpose is to enhance the users efficiency underwater when swimming and mimic the kinematics of the dolphin fin kick.
Target Customer
Our target customers for this design consisted of a broad range customers, from recreational swimmers to SCUBA divers and professional swimmers.
Concept
Our concept design was modified and updated from a previous design, which used segments connected with a central spring system. The updated concept utilizes springs and elastic cords to achieve additional force and increased efficiency.
